Wendi's Skate Party!

She's going to kill me for posting these, but they were too priceless not to share! We suprised my dear friend, Wendi for her 40th birthday! We all met at a roller skating rink, and after our bodies could no longer tolerate the pain, we headed to a great dinner at Genti's, our favorite restaurant. There were only two falls, and only one of them possibly resulted in a concusion! It had been about 25 years since I'd been on a skating rink, but it all came back to me, and we had a blast! It should be noted that we had to sign an "Adult Liability Waiver" before they would let us on the rink. The staff member said to me, "well, we don't bounce back up like we used to!" That was classic!!!

Two Snow Storms in One Week!

As they say, only in Texas. Last weekend we did a little yard work, and I ended up with a sun burn. Two days later, it snowed for nearly 5 hours straight! Three days later, we were in a Texas-sized blizzard! 7 inches of snow fell in just 5 hours. The flakes were as big as Pringles! It was beautiful...but very stressful to get home in. It took me what normally is a 15 minute drive, 2 1/2 hours to get home! Elia didn't know what to think of the white stuff all over the place, and Daddy had a blast making her first snow man! It was a magical sight to see in March no less!

My mommy always dresses me up on Sunday. Nothing but the best! I love to pose for the camera now. I smile when the flash pops up!

Saturday with Mommy and Daddy

We live for the weekends with Elia. This weekend we all got into our jogging suits and headed to IHOP! This week, Elia improved her hand wave hello from one that was backwards and looked more like she was crinkling her fingers up, to a new and improved full-fledged wave! Now when she enters a room she waves her whole arm and gives a great big smile! She also loves her new mesh feeder filled with a frozen peach or cold apple slice. Elia now has two front teeth! She's a big girl now!
