Father's Day

On Father's Day, we all celebrated at Trail Dust where Isaac finished off a 34oz steak nicknamed the "stud"!
Julian and Elia are having a great time together this summer. She adores her older brother. Elia will yell out, "bra, bra" (her version of Brother) until he comes to see her!

Trip to El Paso

We had a great time in El Paso this past weekend celebrating our niece's graduation. We brought Julian home with us for the summer, too!

On Saturday, we took the kids up the mountains and drove the scenic route to this lookout point.

Where has the year gone?

Elia is nearly 11 months old and I can't believe how she's grown. It's so cliche to say, but where has the time gone? Where's my little 8lb 11 oz newborn? Oh, right, she's the 25 pounder on my hip!!! This little girl is amazingly bright, funny, full of life, and is developing one HOT temper! Ha! We would not have her any other way that what she is...a truly God given blessing each and every day of our lives

Perfect First Mother's Day

We had a wonderful Mother's Day Sunday. After church, we joined my mom and dad for a great lunch at Pappadeaux's! The weather was wonderful. The live band at the restaurant really excited Elia and everyone laughed as she danced and squealed!

Elia is ready to walk any day now. She pulls herself up on furniture, and walks while holding on! She thinks she's very funny!

My First Fiesta

We took Elia to San Antonio for the first time this past weekend. Isaac picked out the most special B&B right on the river! It was beautiful and in a perfect location.

We started the day with our wonderful friend, Arden, and watched the King William Parade. This has become an annual event for us, and a great time to catch up with old friends.

We then went to the King William Fair, where we met Meredith and Christian, and their precious little Adrian. Meredith is one of my most special friends, and has been since high school. Our children are only 6 weeks apart! Elia and Adrian were fast asleep when we met up, but soon they were awake and wanting to touch each other's faces! Elia LOVED little Adrian. What a doll he is.

Later that evening, we met up with Arden and all our King William Fair friends for dinner at Azuca.

The next day we traveled back to Denton, but stopped in Waco to have dinner with "Buffy" and Matt. Buffy and I were college dorm mates and boy, could we tell some stories! But we won't!! Ha! We had a great time catching up. Although time and distance separates us, we didn't skip a beat when we were reunited with dear friends. What a special weekend it was to be able to be surrounded by such wonderful people!

Wendi's Skate Party!

She's going to kill me for posting these, but they were too priceless not to share! We suprised my dear friend, Wendi for her 40th birthday! We all met at a roller skating rink, and after our bodies could no longer tolerate the pain, we headed to a great dinner at Genti's, our favorite restaurant. There were only two falls, and only one of them possibly resulted in a concusion! It had been about 25 years since I'd been on a skating rink, but it all came back to me, and we had a blast! It should be noted that we had to sign an "Adult Liability Waiver" before they would let us on the rink. The staff member said to me, "well, we don't bounce back up like we used to!" That was classic!!!
